NaNoWriMo!!! Woo to the Hoo!

So, you all would be very interested to know that I have officially decided to particpate in NaNoWriMo, which starts in less than 10 hours!!!

Basically, it's a group of people all over the world who get together to try to start and finish a novel by the end of November. The word goal count is 50,000. In order to reach that, we have to write 1,667 words a day! It's a lot, but it's worth it.

I'm going to work on this hard because I've been wanting to write the novel that has been floating around in my head for the longest time now, and now is a better time than any. So if you ask me why I'm so busy, it's because of this!!!!

I already know what the book I'll be writing is about but do not want to tell anyone until it's completely finished. Even Alex doesn't know. I don't want anyone to get excited in case I can't finish it. But I'm going to try!

I do have a plan afterwards. I know of quite a few publishers that I plan on mailing an exert to and all the other information they need for submission. But that's a bit far from now. I'm doing this one on my own, and fast. So let's hope it's good. I don't think I'm going to start submitting it until I've invested a bit more into it, so hopefully by January I'll be sending it out to publishing houses. And we'll see what happens from there. Most people in the world don't ever get their book professionally published. Though it'd be amazing for that to happen, I also want to be realistic with the idea that more than likely it won't. But, what's awesome is that my friends/family can read it if they want to and more than anything, I'll be able to check something else awesome off my bucket list (writing a novel!)

I'll try and keep my current wordcount posted as much as I can.

Other than NaNoWriMo, nothing else has really been going on. It's Halloween, so Happy Halloween. I watched Alex perform in the murder mystery dinner theater show which was awesome, as always. She amazes me with her range of acting skills. I'm currently contemplating joining the theater groups 24 hr challenge as an actress myself! Basically, the actor gets the script, must memorize their lines, and perform the play all in 24 hrs. I'm pretty sure it's a very short play because that would be even more impossible if it was super long. The reason I'm contemplating it is because I suck at memorizing things but since everyone knows I only have 24 hrs to memorize, there would be SO much more sympathy when I totally mess up. And what's better is that I can improve in those inevitable moments, and I think I could be pretty funny improving... but that's just me. :) We'll see. Think I should do it!??!?!?!?
